Gruth is Uachdar - The Tolsta Connection
Gruth is Uachdar, the BBC television series based on Finlay J. Macdonald’s ‘Crowdie and Cream’, was a huge success. The series which was shown during February/March 2002 was based on the life of Finlay J. growing up on the machairs of south Harris.

The Director of this successful TV drama was Bill Macleod, (Uilleam Aonghais Willie) of Slios na Beinne, North Tolsta and the Producer was Seumas Mactaggart, grandson of Seoras a'Bhideanaich from Lighthill in Back.
