Social Evening - April 12
Steamers to Stornoway is an illustrated talk on island shipping by researcher, Colin Tucker taking place on Friday, April 12 in the Community Hall.
The social evening talk - starting at 7.30pm - will examine the history of ships and shipping services from the mainland to Lewis, taking in shipping of days gone by from Glasgow, mail steamers to car ferries and cruise ships.
Mr Tucker is also awaiting publication of his first book, Steamers to Stornoway: Ships and shipping services to Lewis from 1750, by The Islands Book Trust in May.
